- The Form 5500 is a required disclosure document for pension and welfare benefit plans that are funded, or for welfare benefit plans with more than 100 employees at the beginning of the plan year.
- The Form 5500 and ancillary documents may only be filed using the electronic EFAST2 system.
- Changes for 2021 forms for plans are outlined in the news release and include updates to defined contributions, pooled employer plans, administrative penalties, and Schedule updates.
